Word MinglePrivacy Policy
Effective November 4, 2026
The short version. Word Mingle has no accounts and no ads. Your progress and saved words stay on your device. We use Google Firebase to understand how the app is used and to fix crashes, and RevenueCat to manage subscriptions. We don't track you across other apps or websites, and we never sell your data.
Who we are
Word Mingle is made by Khaled Garbaya ("we", "us"). You can reach us at support@word-mingle.app.
Data that stays on your device
Your learning progress, saved words, streak, Mingo's stage, review schedule and settings are stored on your iPhone or iPad. They're shared with Word Mingle's own widgets and Live Activity on the same device, and nowhere else. We don't run servers that store this data. Deleting the app deletes it.
Data we collect

These identifiers are random and created by the app. They aren't linked to your name, email address or Apple ID. Word Mingle doesn't use Apple's advertising identifier (IDFA) and doesn't ask to track you.
Payments are handled entirely by Apple. We never see your card or billing details.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or rent your data.
- We don't show ads or share data with advertisers or data brokers.
- We don't track you across other companies' apps or websites.
- We don't ask for your name, email address, contacts, location or photos.
Service providers
We rely on these providers, who process data on our behalf under their own privacy terms:
- Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Cloud Messaging): firebase.google.com/support/privacy
- RevenueCat: revenuecat.com/privacy
- Apple (App Store, in-app purchases, push notifications): apple.com/legal/privacy
These providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where data leaves the European Economic Area or the UK, they use safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
Legal basis
If you're in the EEA or the UK, we process purchase information to provide the service you signed up for, and usage events and crash reports on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the app working and improving it.
How long we keep data
Firebase Analytics keeps usage events for up to 14 months. Crash reports are kept for 90 days. Purchase records are kept for as long as needed to provide your subscription and to meet legal and tax obligations.
Your choices and rights
- Notifications: turn them off at any time in iOS Settings → Word Mingle.
- Your data: you can ask us to access, correct or delete data about you, or object to its use, by emailing support@word-mingle.app. Because we don't know who you are, we may ask for the order ID on your App Store receipt email so we can find your purchase records.
- Subscriptions: manage or cancel them in your App Store account settings.
- You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
If you're a California resident, you have the right to know about, delete and correct your personal information, and to not be discriminated against for using these rights. We don't sell or share personal information as the CCPA defines it.
Children
Word Mingle is meant for a general audience and isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the effective date above. If a change is significant, we'll also let you know in the app.
